Where I stayed
Today was my last day of Spanish classes, and I feel a lot more confident with speaking and understanding. The main reason we visited Valparaiso was to learn Spanish, so I leave on Sunday to head south to Ushuaia, Patagonia, Argentina. Its the southernmost city of size. I am feeling a bit sad to leave Valparaiso, I got used to the 100 year old ascenscors, 50 year old trolley buses, and of course the disintegrating buildings. Today we tried to go up all the ascenscors today, but many are so old, they are closed, and probably will never open again. We are planning on packing and watching a soccer(futbol here) tomorrow. I'm finally putting some pictures up that I hope you guys enjoy.
I really enjoy comments, so if you want me to change anything, or if you like it. If you have a question, please leave your email address.

Oli --- I especially liked the detailed pictures of the ascensors. great sites also! --- Love, Grampa
I was wondering if there were any of the ascensors in operation? Did you get to ride on any? In one photo one was halfway up the hill. Was t stopped there?
