Day 14:  Lete (2480m) - Ghasa (2010m) - Kopche Pani - Dana (1400m) - Tatopani (1190m)

Pretty flat boring walk today.  We followed a dirt road the whole way so no cute little villages, no up and down narrow tracks just a pretty flat boring road.  How funny, we crave flat the whole way and when we get it we crave up and down.  We did go through Ghasa which looked nice.  Small town with cobble stone main walk way.

Spent the day trying to come up with ideas of how to make money whilst traveling.  There has to be a way!

So yeah that was today.  Staring at nothing much, no beautiful mountains - a muddy river and a dirt road.  Thinking a lot though

Arrived a Tatopani at 2pm.  Hadn't stopped for lunch so starving.  Oliver was stoked as they had roast pork on the menu and it was delicious, even if it was on the fatty side.  I had whole river fish, which was nice but filled with bones, followed by apple crumble which was just divine.

After lunch we headed down to the hot springs.  This time with no high expectations.  We were most pleased to see two massive stone baths next to the river.  Water was lovely.  A little too warm to stay submerged for too long but very pleasant to sit half in half out.  Best of all there was a little store there selling beer, water, chips etc.  It even had a happy hour of beer and popcorn!!

Took our washing down and did that with the locals.  Nice place to do it by the river and with hot water!!  The other travellers looked at us a little strangely though.

Stayed down there for an hour or two then went back to the hotel for dinner and diaries.

If you stay at a guest house they expect you to eat all your meals there.  Basically the rooms are cheap the food expensive so that's how they make their money.  If you don't eat there they up your room rate to cover the cost.

So Oliver got the pork again - lunch was a little fatty, dinner was ALL fat. We had raved on about it to the Danish couple so they too ordered it.  They weren't best pleased with what came out so ordered the chicken which I'd had and said was delicious.  When they tucked into that they started off thinking it was nice but soon realised it was partially raw.  Poor Christina had to go back to the room to throw up.  Don't think they'll ever be taking food recommendations from us again!!

Tip of the Day:  Go the hot springs at Tatopani.
