Here in Fort Lauderdale my roommate Patrick predicts the weather will turn for the worse in the next few days. He is a fisherman so I decide that he probably knows what he is talking about. Thankfully today is my last day here before I fly to southern Texas. Florida has been hot, probably too hot really, in terms of humidity anyway.

My time here has shown me that those without a car in the USA are pretty much stuck. Especially in a climate like this, I can barely walk ten metres down the road before I feel a layer of sweat all over my body.

I spend the day relaxing a bit, as from tomorrow I will be spending my time with both a friend from the UK (Neil), and a girl I met in Spain earlier this year (Whitney). Therefore this was my last day doing exactly what I wanted at the speed I wanted to do it. I am looking forward to Texas though, it is sometimes difficult travelling about by yourself.
