Well, what can be said about a long, exhausting, all-day hike? My idea of fun, I guess.

Most of the story is in the pictures and the commentary that accompanies them in the slide show. Start it by clicking on the first picture (or any picture, for that matter).

But, to set the context. I based in Olympos. About Olympos in other blog entries. But for this day trip excursion I first took the minibus from Olympos up to the main coastal highway, and there caught a regular bus to Kumlucia. From Kumlucia I started walking the highway southeast, first through some urbanization--hitching at least one short ride that I can remember--and eventually getting off into the woods. And one more short ride with a doctor and his grandson.
