While I was uploading pictures and videos to the last entry I was interrupted and had to end the session. It seems that I cannot go back and add pictures and videos in an editing mode, as I could for written changes or additions. So I am adding this one with some additional pictures and videos to round out the experience.
I especially like the video shot from the crest of the hills partially ringing the city and the castle as it came at the time of the noon call to prayer. So that is heard echoing in the town valley. Not only echoing, but issuing from more than one minaret. And of course it also shows how the castle hill rises out of the city around.
These are scenes of some of the territory over and through which I walked.
And of the mind-numbing streets of many a Turkish town through which I have walked. And, made even more dreary in the winter.
So, after a mind- and bone-numbing walk a Turkish bath--especially an out-of-the-way, small, friendly local one--to put you in order again.
There's often a Turkish dog that can make you feel good, too.
And, mercimek çorbası (lentil soup) to make you feel good inside.
