We had nothing in particular planned for Manta (the nearest coastal port to Quito, Ecuador). Jim was feeling under the weather so we only took time to visit a craft market to see if we could find more 'essentials' and then headed back to the ship for a quiet afternoon away from the hot sun. I think the most exciting thing we did all day was to watch frozen tuna being unloaded from a Chinese ship docked beside our ship. I know, I know, it sounds like we need to get a life but it really was fun watching the antics of the chaps unloading the tuna.
