The weather gods were good to us today with bright sunshine and temps in the high 70's.  Great day to take a boat ride from Monterosso to Portovenere.  Along the way, you pass the 5 Cinque Terre towns and get some amazing photos of the little towns clinging to the cliffs.  Portovenere is just south of the Cinque Terre and more of a Italian Riviera town with more tourists, but a very scenic harbor and town with hilltop castle and church.   Again, the photos will do the talking for this blog entry.

I think this region of Liguria is fast becoming my favorite cuisine in Italy.  The seafood tastes fresh and the pesto is so tasty.  I've had nothing but Italian food these past two weeks and I am not sick of it yet since there is so much regional variety.

On the kid front, Neyoli is still enjoying herself as long as we take the occasional playground or beach break as well as some gelato stops.  She really seems to like the food here in the Cinque Terre, all kinds of seafood.  Must be her half Japanese roots.

The swimming also looks nice here as the water is clean and clear, and fairly warm.  The beaches are packed today, so we settled for dipping feet around the rocky harbor of Portovenere.

Well it's getting closer to reality as we head back to Milano tomorrow before flying home to Seattle on Thursday.  For all you female readers out there, we plan to window shop the fashion avenues of Milan and take some colorful photos for you. All for now, hope to get one more blog entry in Milano before flying home.
