After finally getting some rest in and settling down we headed to the next city over, Arezzo. We were told there was an antique market and Jousting event. We took the bus over and got dropped off right in the center so walked around to no where. None of us knew Italian and really don't know where anything was. We finally asked after we hit up a cafe and found our way up to the Piazza where they were hosting the event. Alone the way I got my first taste of gelatos. Bomb! When getting to the Piazza we were informed that the real event wasn't until the next day so we watched the flag barriers practice their routine. We then headed over the market where we did a lot of seeing and walking. The market was huge! I don't think i got to see everything. We then headed back down one of the main streets and stopped at a cheese store. The smell was horrible so I headed outside where I spotted a clown/mine. He had already attacked Katrina and was going after Fane. I had my camera out and took pictures of them posing next to each other. The clown then asked for money which I only had like twenty cent euro or 5 euro. I wasn't about to give him 5 euro because I knew he wasn't going to give me change. So I offered him the 20 cent euro and it pissed him so he gave it back to me. Asked me if I was American and walked away talking non sense in Italian. I guess he has something against Americans. Somehow Andy and I lost track of the group so we strolled back to the bus station. We thought we had about 45 min until the last bus was set to leave. We killed some time but then decided to head back early. Luckily we did, because as we approached the station the bus was loading up people. We were not sure it was our bus until we saw someone we knew. We rushed across the street and made it just in time. On the bus I sat next to an older Italian fellow. An American lady from San Francisco started to ask questions to others around her and the guy next to me knew English so he started to talk to her. All while i was listening in on their conversation until i butted in and started to speak English. I forgot the guys name but I kept seeing him around town, one of the few locals that actually respects us American students.
