Weather a bit cooler today - early morning shower so decided to leave dogs and go to the castle. Heard the Queen and Duke not here to greet us - how rude. Saw the changing of the guard - Don't expect any gifts from here - had a Buck Palace ice cream £3 each for just a little tub! Had a fab time. St George's Chapel just amazing. Back to the boat for a quick lunch and off again stopping off at Staines to shop at Sainsburys and then on to moor up just before Penton Hook Lock. Dave talking to a local chap who advised an early morning walk around Penton Hook Island just over the weir which has an abundance of wild parrots (apparently they escaped from Shepperton Studios when they were filming "The African Queen" all those years ago and inhabited the island). We shall see!
