Our first flight of this trip took us to Sydney Australia, for a total of 30 minutes. Immigration controls were stringent but we got to Brisbane and met up with all the family for the first time in 10 years.

We all spent a few days down at the Gold Coast in a plush beach house right on the water, which had the most beautiful view.

Gold Coast beaches are so clean with un-littered sand, clear water and surf. Tom, Rachel and I had a surfing lesson with my two little cousins. Daniel (who's 5) was up and standing in no time, Jess was by far the worst but caught a few little ripples and Tom went out deeper and rode proper waves into the beach! We even had a typical Aussie barbie on the last night.
