A twelve-and-a-half hour flight is always better when you can lie down. And I got lucky. The couple sitting on my left were upgraded, leaving me three seats for my use. Another couple saw the empty seats while I was in the bathroom, but soon left when they realised that I was about to sit down. So I spread around my stuff, and blankets and shoes, and settled down for a good 6 hours sleep.
And now I am in France, once again waiting for a flight. Mexico City airport is pretty rubbish, and I am not sure at all about Air France either. They are polite, but seem reluctant to open their check-in desks early, to help passengers avoid peak times. But, they did check my baggage all the way through to Birmingham for me, so I can't complain I suppose.
Oh well, only one more to go and then I am back in the UK. Horray!
