Boy it was good to see mum.

As I touched down in England I just couldn't wait to see her face and feel her embrace. No one else can make you feel so good as your family.

And there she was.

"MUM!"

We talked all the way home along the motorway.

I just couldn't wait to get home.

As we rounded the corner the house looked just as I had always remembered - (sigh) - the comfort of the safety of that building. It contained nearly all my childhood memories.

"DAD! Hi Dad. Give me hug! How are you?"

"Where's Dodger Cat?" I sprinted up the stairs.
"Dodger!"
"Doddggggeeeeeeeeeer! There you are!"

As I picked up my saggy black cat and nuzzled my nose into his fur, I could hear his purr. He never forgot, that silly old cat.

'Come, let's go and see my room.'

Peace at last. My bed. My walls.

Home at last.
