Where I stayed
A downtown hotel
One of the great clutch hitters in baseball history, HIdeki Matsui, has his own museum in his hometown. Very cool.
Matsui's museum is located in the sticks, but enhances the charm of the neighbhorhood.
Family photos, a collection of bats and balls, trophies and awards and jerseys and hats that "Godzilla" has worn over the years from his youthful days to his time in high school, college and with the Yomiuri Giants, New York Yankees and now the Los Angeles Angels give the visitor a terrific sense of what Matsui has accomplished over the years. Also on display: Matsui's 2009 World Series MVP trophy.
