It's been said by poets and used car salesmen, bakers and ventriloquists on dinner breaks and vacations and in taxis and trains.

Now it's my turn to repeat it.

A city has a different flavor, style or vibe at night than during the day.

These photographic images, for instance, wouldn't have caught my eye during my daytime walks. But they caught my eye the other night. I'm glad they did.

I like the way Japanese bar-style restaurants have such bold, dramatic, big signs. They certainly get your attenion and in doing so are competing with other establishments to entice you to visit.
