Today, we hiked from our campsite to the top of the road which ends at Yankee Boy Mine Basin. I really like exploring the old mining remains. They are plentiful here. The weather is splendid.

Sat. night now...I went to the Ouray Octoberfest. I met no less, than a woman who did the est training in 1973 with Werner...probably one of the first. So, we carried on a wonderful conversation in between dancing to the polka band. I was hesitant to even go to the event, but so glad that I did.
This morning, I'm sitting in a coffee shop in Silverton, where the narrow gauge railroad ends. Great local color in these places.
