We had a 6hour bus from Paraty which wasn't so bad and arrived in South America's biggest bus station!
We braved the metro with no trouble it was actually easier than London to figure out! Our room in the hostel was nice enough so we just dropped our bags and headed straight out for dinner-we had planned on cooking in but the kitchen was not the cleanest! We decided to try the paulista pizza again which the city is famous for (and we had had in Rio) so we went to one that was highlighted in the lonely planet-it's the oldest pizzeria in São Paulo and housed in a former brothel!! It was Iovely pizza, we walked home in the pissing rain! Wasn't prepared for the cold there after Paraty!
This morning after breakfast we packed and checked out and went up to Starbucks to use the free wifi as the hostels wifi was rubbish! After 2lovely cups of 'normal' tea we strolled around Paulista avenue and looked at the buildings. The city is quote like an American city in how it's laid out in the centre-big wide avenues and tall buildings with the metro running along either side. We headed back to the hostel and got our transfer to the airport which cost the same as both of us getting public bus without the dragging our bags up the hill!!
