It was touch and go this morning. Millo was in whine mode (I know what you're all thinking: does he have any other mode? Answer: very doubtful) and didn't want to go to school. Livia kept asking him if he wanted to go play/ go to the park for a bit before going, which translates exactly into "go annoy Olivia all morning and leave me to pretend to work". Thankfully, I did eventually manage to get him to school, so my day was  saved from catastrophe.
After a quick clean up, and doing a few bits and pieces for Livia, which she could easily have done herself, I set out into town to buy presents for people. I am pleased to report that today I did actually succeed in buying things for other people and nothing for myself. I am even more pleased to report that the owner of one of the shops that I bought something from gave me a free scarf. I think it must have been because I've bought something from there before so now I'm, like, a valuable, regular customer or something. It's not the nicest scarf in the world (saying that, it's not horrendous either) but it was free and that significantly improves my opinion of it.
I returned in time to make lunch. It was just me and Livia that were going to be there, because Luca was out... somewhere doing... something. As it was it ended up being just me because Livia went out as well. Lonely but in my situation actually my preferred lunch arrangement.
I had been planning on going out and doing my culture stint today (because, you know, I didn't get enough when dad was here...) but Livia was out for a long time and had the keys so I couldn't. I now intend to do it on Thursday so it's all good.
The rest of the day was unremarkable but passed fairly swiftly so it's ok. Millo came home and did more whining and crying (I swear he's getting worse) and Metta came home and was pretty nice as far as I can remember. Oh yes, and I did a drawing of her (I know I said I was going to do a drawing everyday, but I keep forgetting!) so I feel the evening wasn't a total waste of time.
