Alrighty, the promised explanation of why I haven't written anything for the passed few days. On Monday, after Luca had done a day of skiing and I had had a day of Millo, us three left (Livia and Metta stayed in Abetone) to go to Luca's parents house just outside Florence. The plan was for us to stay there until Friday and then Livia was going to pick me and Millo up (Luca went home).
So, Tuesday. It started out well enough. Millo took me outside and showed me the chickens and this awesome car thing he has and other exciting stuff. Then we went food shopping with the grandmother, and she bought him the majority of the junk food in the shop (just what he needed. A worse diet).
Returning to the house Millo decided it would be a super fun idea to go blow bubbles in the pouring rain... it wasn't but there you go.
Anyway, after that the stay sort of went downhill. Late afternoon Millo started complaining of a stomach ache. This got worse until eventually Livia said to take him to the doctor. We did that and he said that we should take him to the children's hospital. Anyway, long story short, (and it was long. We had to wait in the hospital for about two hours until we got seen. Awful hospital service here) Camillo had to have an enema. Yes you read that right. Gross I know, but if I had to go through that I done see why you shouldn't suffer with that vile image too. Still, thankfully, it's all over now, and because of it Luca decided it would be better to come back home to Cortona, which is good for me because it means back to the land of internet and heating (there was very little heating at the grandparents' house). I never thought I'd be happy to be here again, but there you go. Just goes to show, no matter how horrendous things are here, they could be worse. And what makes it even better is that there is now less than a month left. AND I got paid today. It's almost a good day!
I am now off to make the most of an empty house (Millo's at school, Luca's at work and the other two are still skiing).
Ciao
