This is the beginning of Maelys' last week. After 7 o'clock on Friday morning I will be the sole au pair. God help us all! I say all of us, because any suffering that I endure I will be sharing with you via this.
I finally ran out of banal things to do with my time and, thus, had to resort to the intellectual pass time of reading a anthropology book. Well, that's one reason. The other reason is that I told the parentals I was going to and I would hate to disappoint them.
Still, despite not actually minding the book, I'm more of a seeing things kind of person than a read about it, so tomorrow I am planning to go see San Francesco so I can hopefully see the remains of Signorelli. Getting my gruesome on!
So, today on the art front Livia had me draw a picture of a boar on a picture frame... as you do. Despite her random choice of subject (she has a bit of a thing for them. There are drawings of them all over the house) I went ahead and did it. Still, you know by now how Livia is; she can't let me do things just once, so after spending time doing one drawing she decided she didn't like the drawing she had chosen for me to copy so got me to start all over with a new one. Sigh! Luckily, this time I only had to do the drawing two times.
A quick weather report now. Today it was super nice and sunny and pretty nice and warm when I was out to pick Metta up from school. While I was casually chilling topping up my tan (ah ha ha!) it started to snow. How does that even work!? I mean it was properly warm! Italy is such a strange place.
Now I am off to await the arrival of the next entry of my sister''s blog. You should check it out if you haven't already ( http://dressingupinparis.blogspot.it/ ) it's awesomesauce (fun new word that I learned the other day. It's chuckle-worthy, and thus I felt it was worthy of being included in the blog).
Ciao
