Monday! Today Filammetta and Camillo had school which meant getting up at 7.00. That is something I haven't done in...about 9 months, so was not a fun experience but no doubt I'll get used to it soon enough. Filammetta starts school at 8.30 so we took her first. Camillo was supposed to go at 10.00 but decided he wasn't having any of it, so stayed con la mama. They went out to Livia's exercise class and Jessica and I went and got cookies and hot chocolate (I didn't feel bad about it because, the way I see it, the steep streets are MORE than enough exercise for delicate little me). Now, that hot chocolate! Oh my! I'll never be able to drink the British version again. This one was literally like a cup of melted chocolate. Om. Nom. Soon after that Jessica left to go home which was sad but there will be a new au pair here tomorrow when I wake up so that should be ok.
Filammetta came back from school at 1.00 today, and after a quick but, obviously delightful, lunch of pasta cooked by yours truely, waanted to play peerots again. Luckily this time all the pirates were doing was dancing, and THIS pirate had a sore leg so just watched pirate Metta dance.
Very little else happened today, but I feel, seeing as I mentioned one kind of chocolate, I should mention another. It's amazing! The bar of chocolate in the house has squares that are the size of my pinkie! My life is now complete.
I would say the biggest acheivement of today was looking after both kids by myself without Jessica today. What I mean when I say I looked after them is that no one died. And really what more can one ask for, eh?
