Driving around the neibourhoods of Chicago, we (re-)discovered River Forest & Forest Park where Derek grew up for 7 months during the year of 1987. We then headed for the center of Chicago & had a walk around the beautiful river area. Driving to the center of Chicago was quite interesting as they had regular streets, but then, they constructed a whole system of streets under the ground! A challenge for anyone with a map! And guess what, it rained a little at night! We enjoyed an Italian excellent dinner at Volare (highly recommended by us)... try their calamari/octopus salad if you're eating there.
