It must be said, Ljubljana is an absolutely stunning city and combined with the countryside it was enough to give us serious case of country envy. We sampled a decent portion of the city's night cafes/bars and restaurants in the time we were there, which was suprisingly easy as virtually all menus were translated into five or six languages.
It was very clear that our high opinion of Slovenia was shared by the many Europeans who had migrated south for the summer heat, crystal clear lakes, wine, food... need we say more? The streets were full all night of French, Germans, Irish, English, Spanish tourists out enjoying the warmth, looking much more tanned than we were. Hey, we're working on it.
