Saturday 2nd July

Yesterday morning  we have used again the same taxi guy and moved to rather touristy place Guardalavaca. There are no rooms to rent so we are staying in cheap holiday bungalows. Woman at the reception asked us if we would like to see the room. We knew it is going to be shitty and said no. The room has fulfilled our expectations, but as we travel on tight budget we had no choice here. There is beautiful beech with white sand and that what counts. We hit the beech straight away. To get burned first day on beech would be novice error and could never happen to us…. Thanks god for special spray for sun burns J. We were in shade and water only and still, today I was wearing t-shirt + 50 cream to cover few red patches…..

Today we could hear loud music and commentator since 9 am. I said to Pety that it must be local market. We went to the beech straight after breakfast and could not believe…. . What was quite empty beech yesterday turned into massive crowd of people. Of course it is weekend so all the locals are here. They were swimming dancing singing and to our surprise drinking white Havana rum like there is no tomorrow.  It look like what I always imagine would Ibiza dance party look like.  After chatting to few locals we found that it is Havana Rum promotion event. We went to take picture of Havana Rum tent and after friendly chat got  2 free mojitos and they were proper strong . Suddenly we felt bit less out of place. As guide book sais avoid ice and anything with water… our mojito broke it all.  BTW: I have to say that we have been following old rule and has been using strong alcohol do disinfect our stomachs every day….
