News from Debbie:
It started off rainy and foggy on Afton mountain but the sun came out and we had a great drive but we drove a lot further than I thought, so here we are in St. Louis tonight.
We got everything in the car. Here's the proof. We only have one suitcase but Sara did have to bring a duffel bag.
Saw the golden dome of the state capital in Charleston, West VA.
Everything was really green in Kentucky. Lots of horses.
Indiana and Illinois were really rural and we didn't see a lot of houses but we did see lots of farms.
News from Sara:
The drive was funnish. It was hard being in the car all day long, but it was worth it. I slept alot. :) And we cut off a night! We planned to stay in Louisville, but we made it all the way here! Definitely can't do another 13 hours in the car though!
After we got out of WV, there wasn't much in the way of civilization. :) It was mainly farm after farm after farm. There were maybe 6 cars on this highway. It was insane. Mom still wouldn't let me drive though. :) Maybe in Kansas, but i doubt it. :)
We just had breakfast in the Drury Hotel here in downtown St. Louis and we're gonna drive over to the arch around 7:30. The security guard downstairs said that Denver is about 13 hours away, which is about how far we drove yesterday, but I think we're gonna stop in Salina in Kansas, which is about 8 hours out.
The trip is going well so far! I can't wait to get into Denver!

Yee Ha
Look out Denver, here they come! I can't believe you're almost there. It looks like you're going to have good weather there; Isolated TS/76 degrees today, and Sunny/77 degrees Friday. Wish I were there with you; I saw a corner in the back of the mini I'd have probably been able to squeeze into.
Have a great time. STAY SAFE!
Anne

What happen to the Big Ball of String
No news from the third member of the trip? How is RC? If Sarah though Indiana and Illinois were rural, I can't wait to hear what she thinks Kansas is. Hey, slow down and enjoy the journey. Great blog, by the way. Robb
Great start
OMG!!! Is that a body bag I see in the back of RC? Great pictures, keep them coming.
STL
Hey Debbie,
You drove ALL the way to STL in one day?? Holy cow.
So, was I right? You saw it all from the top of the arch?
