Starting off from the middle of this past week, I have seen and experienced much. I have now gone to all of my classes at least once and I can say that I am pretty excited for a few classes, and not so excited for one or two as well. I will be taking four classes this semester as I have already taken the Czech Language intensive course which counted as a full class back at Chico. I will have no Monday nor Friday classes this semester, and will have one class on Tuesday, two classes Wednesday, and one class on Thursday.

Tuesday I have Art and Architecture, which should be a very easy and informative class. The basic premise for this class will be touring different sites throughout the city, and learning about their historical or other importance. The class will have a few tests but other than that we just have to write a 5 page paper at the end of the course summarizing the class and what we have learned.

Wednesday's I start at 10 am with International Management, this class is at the Prague school of Economics, which is not apart of the Charles University; however, this school is comparable to the Ivy league in the states. The school has about 20,000 students and is extremely hard to get in to; the school is also very new and very nice, all of the equipment is brand new and very nice, and possibly the best part about this class will be the fact that other international students will be in the class as well, so not only will we have Americans, but Czech's, Italians, Germans, and many other nationalities as well. My second class on Wednesday will be Gender Studies; I am not excited about this class for the most part. The teacher is extremely Feminist, and as well all know this is not exactly my cup of tea. I have already put in a few extremely solid choreographed arguments that have started debates in class. The workload seems heavy though and it will just be something that I need to power through.

Thursday I have one class which is Social Psychology of business, this class will be somewhat entertaining despite the teachers monotone like lecture the first day. I am guessing that she just had to tell us the usual information that is needed at the beginning of the class. This class will help me to learn how to better manage different personalities in the work place.

Now I will talk about the awesome experience I had today at the glass blowing factory. We left Prague at 8 am and drove about a hour and a half to the north to the Glass factory. The factory specializes in unique pieces and things of the delicate manner. The men that work in the factory seem to have no rules at all. They were wearing no protective clothing, drinking beer on the job ( of course), and one worker even lit his cigarette out of his mouth directly on plasma like glass. I made two objects that I am very proud of. The first object I made was a jar/ vase type object. Everyone made one of these, however, the second object I made, which I am most proud of, is a beer mug which only 4 people made. There are pictures :) .

After glassblowing we went and ate at the restaurant connected to the factory, we had more traditional Czech food with meat dumplings, and of course some good brew. We then traveled to the small town of Melnik, where we explored a very old and deep well, that is the deepest in all the Czech Republic. We then went and looked at the point where the two biggest rivers in the country converge. It was as always very cold so we didn't stay there long, but just long enough to get some good pictures. This was a day trip so the group then made the hour and a half journey back to Praha. Overall, it was an exciting and adventurous day, and in two weeks I will have my masterpieces.
