We've had a request for a final post, so here it is.

Our flights were smooth all the way home, although during a two-hour layover in Istanbul we were required to go through no fewer than 5 passport security checks--we noticed that travelers headed to countries other than the US didn't have to have so many stickers put on the back of their passports. Ataturk International has a main concourse that is very modern, but with a design that reminded me of an outdoor market--and had the best people watching ever. There were individuals of all shapes, sizes, religions, dress, age, and ambulatory status (quite a few wheelchair bound seniors) on our flight heading for Washington DC.

We landed at Dulles on June 15 at about 6 pm and were on the road to Durham NC by 7:30; we slept there thankfully that night. Next morning we were on the road to Almond again by 9. I drove both legs so Jim could sleep--he had done more than his share of time behind the wheel in Greece. Now we have once again turned back into pumpkins. We've been home nearly a week and although we're back in the office; Jim has extracted the spring honey (400-500 lbs this year!); and Sidney has started his summer job,  we are still getting used to all the humidity and greenery of this near-rain forest we call home. There are so many weeds to pull! For me, jet lag set in on the second day home, and I'm still not quite adjusted. Sidney seems back in the rhythm, though.

Thanks for coming with us on our travels.
