Hi all,
Given that my posts have received generally positive views in the past, as well as that I enjoy blog writing and need an excuse to not start packing, I decided to write a post explaining my views and experiences concerning the trip.
I always tend not to get excited about traveling until it actually happens, except for a few possible things I really look forward to. One of those things for this trip is that we're going to King's Cross station. Platform 9 and 3/4 anyone?
Some other aspects of the trip I'm excited about include the museums with exhibits on arms and armor, castles, and other medieval items/places/history. I'm also reading a novel called Sarum, which could also be titled Salisbury: From the Stone Age to Modern Britain. It's interesting and educational! But seriously, the different periods and characters it describes are quite interesting.
The problem is, there are definitely a few things that are annoying (at least in the short term). For example, packing. That is something I'm procrastinating from by writing this entry. Another slight peeve of mine is the distraction of my parents while planning for the trip. Once we head out, it ought to be fun. We're leaving on Wednesday, and I really need to get some sleep on the flight to Germany.
Signing off to eat lunch,
Sidney

Request explanation of the cryptic "9 and 3/4" --
Basically, it's from the Harry Potter books. It's where you get on the train to Hogwarts.
