So this whole trip, I've been itching to see the white faced monkeys.
It was really sad, back on the Caribbean side, I just missed them. The people behind me saw them. :-(
And last week while in Spanish class, I went in the afternoon, but I didn't see any. Evidently, the morning is the best time to see the monkeys. But my class was in the morning all week, and I was gone over the weekend.
So come back on monday and see the white faced monkeys.... except the national park is closed on mondays. :-( Evidently all national parks in costa rica are closed on mondays.
Yikes. OK, my days are numbered, I leave friday, I'll try one more day, tuesday morning to try to see the monkeys. But for today, I'll do something. OK, lets try the canopy tour. Well... its just zip lining, at least with the crew I did it with. Still a lot of fun. Not really animal life to see. Although I did see a tree snake. I guess kinda rare, so cool.
Ziplining here was different than Vancouver, where I did it before. Here we had to actually slow ourselves down with a leather glove. A little more work, but maybe more fun, and you got to control your speed and direction more. Holding your hand back prevents the spinning.
