Spread Eagle II

Well today we went snorkeling!! We remembered to bring everything this morning but we did end up leaving our snorkeling shirts on board the catamaran. The catamaran was named the Spread Eagle II and would hold up to forty-nine guests but thankfully that many were not on board with us. We were a little worried when left off this morning because it was raining at Villa Sevilla. Thank goodness it was not raining in Fajardo, where the boat was docked. It was very windy when we started off and I was worried about Nathan getting sick but he did not! Another girl on the board was not so lucky. She was sick all day long. We sailed to a island off the coast. We made two stops. The first was a practice run for snorkeling. The water was not very deep but neither was the coral reef.  We took a short walk down the beach but did not go to far because we did not want to get left behind. The crew made us lunch at this stop as well. We had sandwiches but the fresh bread made them very good. At the next stop, the water was much deeper and the coral reefs were more impressive. We remembered to bring the camera this time so we got a few pictures of the reef but the fish did not seem to show up in the photos very well.  After snorkeling around for about another hour it was time to head back to the dock. The water was definitely calmer on the way back in; the wind had died down. After getting back we headed back to Villa Sevilla. We relaxed for a little while, explored the back yard a little and then decided to go get something to eat. We decided on a little place not to far from here. We thought we were going to get puerto rican bar-b-que but ended up being a lot of fried food. But we got a whole chicken, fried sweet potatoes, and of course some rice and beans. We got this food to go because the place seemed kind of like a local bar hangout and we were getting a few strange looks. No one spoke english here so ordering was kind of a task. The food was good but nothing spectacular. Well that is about it, I am not really sure what we are doing tomorrow. I think we are going to try and relax a little here at Villa Sevilla.
