Nathan here: It looks as though we`re going to be bouncing between European cities fairly often so our blogs might become a little shorter and, at times, late in arriving. Simply doing too much and not putting aside the time to find an internet cafe. So many apologies.

So we decided it was time to get back on the road after four full days of R&R in Holland. Destination: South for Brussels, Belgium. Took the train and it was a great ride through the country. No problems except that we got off one stop too soon so we had to wait 30 mins for the next train.

Even though we only had two days to spend in the city, it was worth it. The city is incredibly clean. The architechture is great, people are friendly and the weather was perfect. We were especially happy to be in a country where French is an official language.

Tara here: We spent our time walking around the city centre, exploring the many small shops that line cobblestone streets that seem to go every which way. For lunch on day two we decided to indulge in a local specialty: moules et frites - mussels and fries. They were delicious - especially enjoyed with some fresh bread and a local beer. Oh, and mayo too.

Nathan: The weather was so nice that we spent both evenings on a patio enjoying some great Belgian beer. Would easily recommend this city to others and we regret that we didn`t have more time. N&T
