Where I stayed
Anatara Hua Hin Resort and Spa

I received this letter in my hotel room this morning:
"Once upon a time, in the Gulf of Siam, on the coastline of Thailand's Prachuap Khiri Khan province, a voyager known as ME found the jewel of the King's Heart. Seduced by the tranquil setting and lush gardens as she was leaving this paradise known as the Anatara Resort...she forgot that she had scheduled her departure...."

I could not have said it better! I have been traveling for more than 3 months and I am anxious to get home to my family. But I would stay at the very lovely Anatara indefinitely if only I could convince Mark to join me here.

My friends from Nova Scotia, Stefi and Frank invited me to visit them here. What a perfect way this was to end my long trip and to prepare for the arduous journey home! The gardens throughout this winding beachside resort are the most beautiful I have seen anywhere in Thailand! While the beach in Hua Hin is not my favorite, I did not want to leave the resort facilities even to go into town.

I started each day with yoga at 8:00AM and then enjoyed a relaxing breakfast with my friends at the scrumptious buffet. The pools are beautiful and there are many quiet places to relax around the resort in the sun or shade.

We spent Sunday afternoon at the Hua Hin Winery. On the way home we made to stops to check up on some local privately owned elephants. Click on the photos, they will enlarge and you can scroll through them. Be sure to read the captions to get the whole story!

I enjoyed visiting with Stefi and Frank so much and it was a real treat to be at this lovely Anatara Resort. I hope I am not forever spoiled but probably, I am!

In a few days I will be home, but you can bet I will return to this very exquisite Thai resort.
