Something funny changed in Chiang Mai this year! When I was here with Ellen last year there was one little odd "fish spa" in the old city of Chiang Mai/ The fish give you a pedicure; they eat the dead skin off of your feet and legs. Ellen and I laughed when we saw the place but we did not try it.
This year, well, I am not kidding, there is a fish spa on every corner. I still haven't tried it but, there is even one in Pai! Is this a catching fad or what?

Lynn and Faye and David and I had a good time in Chiang Mai. Lynn picked a cooking course at an organic farm and she says it was great. (I indeed went to the same lovely Thai Farm Cooking School a few weeks later. I have added some of my photos to the two Lynn sent me.)

Lynn and Faye also went on a one day trek with an elephant ride, bamboo raft and hike to some hill tribe villages. We all enjoyed the day we spent at the Queen's Botanical Gardens. We brought a picnic and had a really relaxing, nice time.

They left this morning. Lynn and Faye have a few days in Hong Kong and David flies home after 3 weeks here. I am going to Pai for R & Y (Rest and Yoga)!
