Flying to Bangkok from Boston through London on British Airways is probaby the fastest and easiest way to get to Thailand since Thai Airways canceled the non-stop flight from JFK 2 years ago.  Noah and Sumalai met me at the airport. Since I was here last, they moved to the larger side of their building. Wow, it is really nice. The kitchen, factory and offices are on the first two floors and they have beautiful large living spaces upstairs.  I am so impressed. Noah and Sumalai are glad that I am here to help with wedding details. They are busy at work with Xmas orders. Busy is good! They are both excited about their wedding next month!

I rented an apartment just near Noah's house for 1 month. While it is not fancy, It is large and bright, convenient, and has good AC. Bangkok in October is a real treat. It is still very warm and humid, and it rains hard for a little while every day. I arrived at the beginning of the weeklong Vegetarian Festival. Every day has been a feast. There is a market on the soi across the street from Wat Kaak, the colorful Indian Temple on Silom Road. In the early morning, this small local market is a charm. Tasty too. I took my camera along one morning when I went to get breakfast, and I will upload the photos as soon as I have a connection that works for that.

You can expect to feel jet-lagged in the afternoons around 3:00PM to 6:00PM for the first 3 days. I recommend an hour foot massage with a catnap to get you through the day. On Tuesday evening I went to a neighborhood yoga class. It was all in Thai. I had to watch and listen carefully to the instructions, so it was not as relaxing for me as usual, but I really did enjoy it. Wednesday, Sumalai and I will go overnight to Ko Samet, the resort island where the wedding will be held. We hope to work out many details.
