Hey gang, Well its been a while since Ive last updated. Im still in Jalapa and I have just finished my teachers course. I shall be graduating on May 19th. Whippe! I will be also in July finishing off my teachers position in the Colegio las Hayas and Istituto Bristol. These past 6 months have been fun although sometimes exhausting.
In Colegio las Hayas, I was first teaching teens which wernt too bad but they were sometimes difficult. In Insituto Bristol, I was first teaching elementary students which made my day because they were all boys and they were great. As the months progressed, Colegio las Hayas offered me a postion to teach Kindergarten which I took because ie. more hours & 5 year olds are fun! And Instituo Bristol, transfered me to teens and another class which I teach elementary students.
Dont me get me wrong its still fun to teach but sometimes the institutions are somewhat lacking in direction or at least some type of understanding. For example, I already said I wasn't coming back at least in Colegio las Hayas but now they think that my 5 year olds should at least be producing in English to each other. I dont mind really in trying to make it work ie. stopping them when they ask ´´dejame ver´´ (let me see) to each other. However, I really truly wish they would have mention this fact to me hmm. lets say in February! Not a month left for school to go! (Its May now) But i am going to miss ´´my´´ kids when I leave. They are so cute and they say the most funniest things to me sometimes which I have to burst out & laugh.
I´ll try to put up some pictures of the schools of where I teach and the kids.
