Where I stayed
State Park

Since I wasn't riding today, we drove into Kearney and topped of the fuel and water.  We then went to our favorite store, Farm and Tractor Supply.  We got horse feed (they carry Purina) and the cutest compressed bales of timothy.  They weigh about 60 lbs each and when you open them they poof up and get bigger.  Off to the grocery store next.  We would see people from our group all over town.
We then drove to the Ft Kearney State Park.  Again, I wish that we could have stayed here longer also.  So Beautiful and a great grassy area for camping.  I would say that the State Parks in Nebraska are well kept and horse friendly.  This park had a sandy beach, with a cute little lake for swimming.  And guess what, there was another tornado warning.  At our meeting that nite, Dave told us that the shelters were the bathrooms and/or get into a ditch.  It really poured that nite, it was somewhat warm and when we got up in the morning, we were greeted again with the best footing and low humidity.

It sound like you are having weather but not dangerous! We are hearing all kinds of bad storms back there. Glad your safe and it sound like your having a GREAT time. So happy for you. I see your going up into Wyoming. Will you close to Jeremy? Would that be fun to see them back there. He sounded so happy when I talked to him last. Take care and stay safe. To you and your crew, and all the horses. Love ya, MOM
