We turned up at the bus station (a large dusty field) just before noon. We already had somewhere in mind to stay, and it turned out to be right up there with the best room we had stayed in, and all for $10! After admiring our room we headed out to get some lunch and then to explore the town. After 10 minutes of exploring we had seen the town, and there wasn't much to see. There were two western restaurants next door to each other just a two minute walk up our road (we only went to one though), so we had all of our meals there.

The next day we had to go to a pharmacy and buy malaria tablets. In Asia you can go to any pharmacy and just buy yourself some drugs, any drugs you want, medicinal of course, but you don't need a prescription. We had worked out that we needed three hundred and thirty two more malaria tablets to last us the whole year! We were hoping we would get a discount due to almost depleting the pharmacists stock of doxycycline - we didn't, but it only cost $32 so it wasn't too bad. After we had done our only important task of the day, we decided to reward ourselves by going to use a hotel's swimming pool for the rest of the day.

The next morning we set off at 7am to get to the Thai border. It was only a fifteen minute drive away and we crossed the border with ease. Even though we both loved Cambodia, we were also happy to back in the most developed country we had been in on our travels so far, and the first thing Kate noticed was how the roads were all covered with Tarmac and there were no potholes in sight!
