Where I stayed
We got a minivan here which was meant to have AC and take only an hour an a half, but the AC was broken, it left 45mins late and took an hour more than we were told - got to love Cambodian buses! Ha.
We arrived in this place which we had heard was Cambodia's answer to Magaluf. It lived up to those expectations in terms of westernised bars, hotels and trashy shops (we stayed in a place called Mick and Craig's for goodness sake), but it was actually quite quiet and the beach was nicer than we expected.
That evening we saw glimpses of 'Magaluf' though - western 18yr olds handing out leaflets for a booze cruise, awful greasy food, Cambodian prostitutes and blaring music. This was not the Cambodia we had loved for the last three weeks!
We arranged to catch the two hour ferry boat the next day to the island of Koh Rong - hopefully there would be no giant spiders there...
