As known, Granada where the place the conquistadores extracted a lot of gold to bring back to Spain. They actually used the same route as I just had travelled. Over Lago de Nicaragua, through the river systems out to the Caribbean coast and home. As I walked through this town, I could see the roots of this colonial town. All the buildings are very tall, with only one floor. The hostel I stayed at was one of these old colonial buildings, and we had 5 meters of headspace in the entrance area.

We stayed right outside the marked, which was really convinient in a food hunt and if you were thirsty. Granada is well known for their fruitjuices that they sell. Everywhere you go, you'll bump into a lady selling juices from a basket, or you'll bump into a juicewagon. It was really good! Freshly squized orange juice og lemonade or other juces, into a plastic bag with icecubes and a straw in it. I drank a lot of them. I also bumped into my favorite markedsellers; the doughnutsellers. I had a really good breakfast one day with doughnuts, fresh pineapple and orangejuice.

Apart from this I didn't do much in Granada. I got all healed up after my decease, and strolled the city. I also bumped into John and Stephie from El Salvador, and we got to exchange stories as well as play pingpong:) Now they are heading to the corn islands.
