Getting to amsterdam was another travelling fiasco... 27 hours with 7 transfers! missed Colin and his family first thing in the morning cause the train i thought i was coming in on apparently didn't exist, so i came in on another about an hour and a half late... thank goodness for widely accesable internet cafes, colin was able to email me and we met up later in the afternoon... how great it is to see familiar and friendly faces! we had a great time walking around and exploring the city...
this is being my second time through on this trip, i'm starting to get a feel for the city... this time my hostel was only a few minutes from central station and also from the Damrak... Bob's youth hostel has a very chill atmosphere, great tunes and good times...
The free walking of amsterdam was awesome like all the others that i have done.. great insight to a fascinating city...
i was able to go out to see my family once again... just a short visit unfortunately... i will try and make it longer next time...
