we loved Banff but it was a quick turn around and we were on our way to
Lake Louise where we spent the night at the Chateau. It was breathtaking to look out our window and capture the view. Took so many photos . ..do hope I can send one!!!!!
Norm has not been able to shake his cold and we now both have it....was cold on the train with air conditioning ....didn't think I would need to layer up and we did.
Have felt a little lack lustre yesterday and today ...Dad walked lake yesterday before dinner when I slept for a couple of hours. He has been worse today but the weather has been so cha gable.....I guess you notice it more when you are not 100%.
We are having a lie down now and going out for dinner later on.
Our tour guide who is German is the best to date and she lives here in Calgary. She is impressed that we are taking time ourselves to go back up to Jasper and said it would have been better for us all to have gone up there and flor tonight and only have 2 nights in Calgary.
Helga has lived here for 52 years and never been troubled before with floods but had lost everything ....her home her contents and no insurance as they will not provide insurance in low lying areas. so sad for her.
It is hot here and we have just come back from a walk around the city .....impressive sculptures we have seen.
Nice contrast today to hit praries after trees, Rocky Mountains and more trees. 44% of Canada forests. Such s rich country with their oil and gas. No problem getting s job over here.
Agriculture 2nd Tourism 3rd.
Thank you to all who have sent birthday greetings. Just hope our colds go away!!!!!!
Love Norm Di xx

Dear Diane and Norman, I am sorry to hear that you both are having a cold.
Hope you feel better soon. Thinking of you a lot, especially at the moment.
Brings back wonderful memories when I was in that part of Canada with Paul
many years ago.We also had a fantastic time. It is cold here but we are having a
lot of sunshine in Dunedin. Take care and lots of love, Elisabeth.

Hi Diane and Norman, I have been watching a wonderful program about
Canada on Saturday nights an TV "Northern Wilderness" and I understand
now why you are enjoying your trip through this beautiful land.
I sincerely hope your cold has disappeared in the meantime. After a cold Sunday with hail and snow the sun is now greeting us. Loving Thoughts, Elisabeth.
