Off on the bus this morning to Universal. We had a really good bus driver who gave us lots of info about LA, California and Uiversal and the best way to get the most out of the day - which turned out to be good advice.

On arrival we headed down to the back lot to do the rides that get busy later on. The Simpsons ride, then the Jurassic Park ride - I sat out the first time and then joined in on the second turn, when i had been promised it was a ride I could handle. - motion sickness unfortunately.

Next on to the Mummy ride for the others! Then the archive with bits and, pices of props, costumes, etc.

Back up the really long escalators to the special effects show which was great - more so because Rob was a participant and so we got to sit second row, middle front with him!

We then headed down for the back lot tour which was a bit different from what I remembered ( ok I knew it was bound to change in 20+ - or so - years). We saw Wysteria Lane, western sets, the psycho motel and house, jaws, and lots more. The new Kimg Kong part was fairly speccy.

Off to the Animal Star training show and the Shrek 4D show.

Rob and I then decided we wanted to go in the Haunted House. Bad decision. I wanted to leave half way through and had to fight crying like a baby! Thankfully I had Rob to cling on to and guide/push in front of me. It was ssssoooo scary. Very dark, lots of corners and hidden nooks with hidden things/people dressed up to jump out at us. I have NEVER screamed so much.

The kids were very pleased they hadn't come in too.

After a brief recovery time, off to the Terminator show which was very clever. Real people mingled with 3D images and parts of the movie.

The studios were closing so we had a bit of a wander around the Universal City Walk where Rob and I had a much needed drink!

Back on the bus to Anaheim and a semi-relaxing evening

The haunted house was closed when we were there. And the Mummy rollercoaster is what I brought Mom on...........ha ha. I was so shaken up after that and regretted taking her on it. Good pictures.
