It was, as are most of Disney's ideas - really good. We were seated outside on a lovely LA morning, there wasa buffet and the characters were wandering around meeting and greeting. What fun!
After breakfast we headed back over to Tomorrowland to the Jefi Training Academy. Thankfully Declan was chosen by the Jedi master to do the training along with a bunch of other kids. They were taught how to battle with the light sabres and then half battled Darth Vader and the others Darth Maul. It was really great - very witty commentary by the Master as the challenges went on.
Once Declan had secured his position as a padawan we headed to Space Mountain. We then pursued some items in one of the shops - really good star wars things available - and then on to the Star Tours ride.
It was time to ove back in time to New Orleans town. There was quite a change of scenery heading through Frontierland from what we had experienced so far. From all shiny and futuristic to very rustic and green. A nice change of scenery.
We headed straight for Porates of the Carribean - an old favourite for years ago and a Disney classic - and it didn't disappoint. What a fantastic ride. The kids found it hard to believe it was around long before the movie!
We took the barge across to the Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. And wandered around there for a bit.
It should e pointed out at some stage that prior to our leaving Aust, Rob had suggested everyone do a little research into what there was to see in Disneyland and to make a list of Top 3 rides/attractions that we each really wanted to see. At this point, we were up to what seemed like number 15 of Declan's top 3 must do's !!
Erin and I then went through the Haunted Mansion while the scaredy cats waited!
We had some gumbo and chowder which were yum, then headed on to Splash Mountain and Winnie the Pooh's Grand Adventure. Oh, and met Winnie the Pooh as well.
Those autograph books were doing,well!
On the way back to Main Street to see the evening Christmad Parade the kids had a look through Tarzan's Tree House.
Main Street was crowded but eventually the Parade came along and that was fun.
We collected our warm clothes from the lockers (it's really quie cold he in the evening now, down to about 8c) and made our way over to California Park to collect picnic dinners and watch World of Color.
It was spectacular. So clever and amazing.
That was it for another day.
