Where I stayed
Our next adventure was to Luzern (Lucerne). We got on a train and traveled to Luzern. When we got to the main station we had to switch trains to make it to our destination. When the train dropped us off at our train stop, which looks like it is in the middle of nowhere, we had to walk to our hotel. Our hotel is a renovated old house that has been converted to a hotel. Our first day in Luzern we went and walked around old town. We visited the old town bridge, a large church, the lion monument, and a glacier national park. The lion is amazing. It is so majestic and amazing to see what people can create out of rock. The glacier national park was pretty interested once I figured out what it was all about. When the water underneath the glacier was melting it would create large holes in the surface of the land, and when a large boulder would fall into it it would create a mixing motion and these beautiful rock formations would form. The next day in Luzern we went up Mt. Pilatus. Mt. Pilatus is about 7,000 ft up in the alps, and we had to take a cog wheel train up the side. The cog wheel train is the steepest in the world. I think that I took some amazing photos. There was this cave that they carved out of the side of the mountain, and you are able to walk around the mountain and see all different sides of the city below.
