Sorry for the severe lack of updates, I have been a bit ill as well as Matt and we haven't done much worth mentioning anyway! We went shopping up a storm, visited Ueno Park, and went to the 60th floor of the sunshine 60 building, in a nutshell. Right now we are getting ready to catch that damn plane, not looking forward to a long flight with a bad stomach!!
We have a good five hours wait in singapore airport, so you might get a proper update from me then. Cyas!

Okay it's almost a month later, I'll finally fill you in on what happened :) Photos though, might have to wait.

On the 11th, We went to Akhibara, and exited the train station in the direction of "electric town". We went through a few department stores, and I bought some nice anime figurines! Other than that, we had some difficulty finding a place to exchange Jo's traveller's cheque, then Alex and Matt got sick of looking at stores. So after spending lots of money and so forth we headed on home. Matt was feeling a bit better in the morning, but that didn't last long! I can't remember where we had dinner?
The next day, we split up. Jo and Alex went ot Shibuya, while Matt and I went to Ueno. We walked around Ueno Park, enjoying the various shrines and people walking their beautiful dogs! I found the place very calming and nice to just sit and relax at.
I think Jo and Alex were doing alright in Shibuya, but I don't have a firsthand account of it! We had organised to meet up at Ikebukuro after lunch, but before that Matt and I went back to the hotel as I was feeling sick. I didn't really have any energy left at all, so we ended up being almost a half hour late to meet the others due to my extra slowness (Sorry Jo and Alex!!).
Ikebukuro was pretty cool though, we visited the Amlux Toyota showroom which the boys seemed to enjoy, while Jo went to Toys R Us and bought a dolly. Then we went to the top of the Sunshine 60 building to check out the view. It wasn't as good at Umeda, but it was better than Kyoto Tower! Feeling sick coupled with vertigo was an interesting experience too. But anyway I thuoght it was fun, especially because it was after dark. The elevator had cool glow-in-the-dark scenery (instead of being glass THANK GOD). Dinner that night was without Alex as he wasn't feeling well, so Matt Jo and i went to a nice place up the road which had yakitori out the front. They spoke no English there, and didn't have pictures on the menu, but their specialty was eel which I understood so we got some! It was so delicious, but I couldn't eat it all. The owner was really nice, and kept trying to chat to us despite the language barrier! Jo got hit on by an old man who was another customer, that was the highlight of the evening!! We went back to the hotel, where I proceeded to lose all my dinner, and had a solid night's sleep. The last one in Japan, how sad ;(

The next morning we got up early and trudged through the pouring rain to the train station, luggage in tow, and found our way to the airport - still wet of course!
After eventually finding our plane and having breakfast, we settled in to a flight to Singapore. The in-flight entertainment system in this place was way better, as it had actual on-demand films and so forth! So this flight didn't seem quite so long :P
Then there was a lovely pleasant 5 hour wait in Singapore airport. Matt and I spent all our remaining yen here, as it was cheaper to convert to Singapore dollars than back to Australian dollars! I did get my laptop set up but was too tired and feeling crappy to update, soz all :P
Finally we got home at 9am and my own bed was the most beautiful sight I'd ever seen ;)

So that was our Japan trip! It was a lot of fun, and I am missing the place already. Time to start planning for next time... >:3
