We decided to make a little pit stop In Arizona to see Dad, before we headed off to California and then onto Korea, and it was well worth the visit. We ended up doing alot including the Grand Canyon, Sedona, and a "Weird Al' concert. It was a lot of fun! Phoenix is hot, but there was little humidity, so it was quite bearable, and the nights were beautiful. Yeah, despite the landscape being mostly barron desert, the cacti gives it real character, and if you drive up to the Canyon, the stone peaks are quite captivating and magnificent. The Canyon was huge. It's unfortunate that you really only see a little of it from the main tourist area, but you can take numerous tours or hike on your own if you so desire. It would have been awesome to go down in it to see the Canyon from below, and do a little rafting, but that's another trip. More later......
