DOMINIQUE HERE:

Day : 216
Temperature : 24 degrees
Weather : Rainy, rainy, rainy

So it's been a couple of days since our last blog and we have now travelled to Auckland. We spent our last night with Harold in a campsite near Whangarei which gave us the chance to do all our laundry and give Harold a good clean. It was also fortunate that we had access to proper toilets as we both seem to have come down with a tummy bug and have been dashing to the loo rather frequently.

We said our teary goodbyes to Harold and wished him well on his next trip. I think he was rather glad to see the back of us, since he needed a good rest. We travelled a total of 6,200km in 4 weeks, and it's not only Harold that is feeling a little weary.

Today was supposed to be the day that we finally went sightseeing in Auckland, but since the weather is absolutely pants and we are both feeling dodgy I'm afraid we really haven't done anything which is such a shame. I was feeling so rough yesterday that I went to bed at 5pm and got up this morning at 8am. Our only outing today was to the Travel Clinic in northshore where Kevin got his booster jab for his Hep B, and even that required good timing as far as toilet trips go!!

It's such a shame that we have not been able to see Auckland properly. We will just need to come back!!!

So right now it is 2pm, and we are flying to Rarotonga this evening.Yay!!! We will arrive in Rarotonga yesterday!! If that makes sense! And so I will endevour to write my next blog before I have technically speaking written this one! Confused? Yeah, so are we! All as a result of crossing the international date line. It gets even more confusing when we fly back to Auckland and then onwards to Chile in a couple of weeks time!

I will try to upload a couple of piccies for this blog tomorrow...or yesterday!

That's all for now folks.....trip to the loo required! ;-P

Hi Kev & Dom

Wish I had known you were going near Whangarei as I have relatives who live there and it would have been nice for you to meet up. Never mind there's always next time.
Love the blog keep it coming.
