Wow, wow, wow! What a great day! Where do I begin?
Kevin decided that he would have a common "treatment" here in Bangkok.....the "fish massage". This is essentially a big fish tank full of hundreds of small fish into which you put you feet. The hundreds of fish then swarm around your feet and literally attach themselves to your feet, ankles and any part of you that is submerged, and happily munch away on your dead skin
We had booked ourselves on a "tour" to the River Kwai via the floating markets. I must say that the first 5 hours of this trip were a complete waste of time. Maybe it was our expectations, maybe it was previous experiences with genuine floating markets. But this floating market appeared to be set up solely for tourists...I'd estimate that about 90 % of the locals there were selling tacky tourist "stuff" to tourists, and 10 % were selling "local stuff". A complete contrast to the floating market in Vietnam. Next was the river Kwai. Now Kevin had visited this place nearly 15 years ago. He certainly noticed a difference. Once again, touristy doesn't do the place justice. There was even a minuture rainbow coloured train which choo-chooed it's way back and forth across the bridge...when the throngs of people who were standing on it moved to the side that is.
Finally, we were taken to the place that we'd come to see......the Tiger temple....now THIS was what we'd come for....the cats. I think at this point it's best to let you see the photos....don't get too jealous now! Enough said.
