Kings Canyon: definately my favourite of all three hikes. 5.5KM, 3.5hrs walk. The first 10mn are the hardest as it is a steep climb. LOTS of water needed and I took it! On the sign it said that the first 10mn is a good way to see if we are fit to do the rest. Also it said that in the sunlight the temperatures can get up to 45C. We started at 7 or 8am, can't remember exactly.

For sure the first 10mn were hard but okay. Once at the top it was just paradise from there and on. The view were amazing, and if I could I would do this hike everyday, I really miss it. It would be amazing to have a job near by and do the hike whenever I want! You gotta see it for yourself!

Seona talked about different plants and how it is so rare to have water here. There is this little plant that is on the rocks and it grows roots as long as it needs to in order to find water. The first one we saw was really small, just a few branches but the roots were really long. We later saw one right next to a water source and that one was huge. There were still plants as old as dinosaurs!

There was a really neat spot where its called "a dead sea's ripples", you can actually see in the rocks the formation the waves left. For those of you who are not aware of this, Australia used to have a BIG sea in the middle, now called the red centre.

We headed down to "Garden of Eden", such a nice name. Usually it has a small natural pool, this time it was a huge one and had a waterfall which people who work on tours rarely see if ever. Of course we went for a dip, some of us anyways. No change rooms of course, I chose the same spot as another girl on the steps hoping no other tour groups were coming down. Quick change and off to have a dip in the nice cool water. Perfect temperature and break. Had a snack there: cookies and cereal bars that Seona brought. So nice to cool off! After that we kept walking and took a billion pictures! In just a month and a week I have 1'439 pictures, just to give you an idea!
