This is one of my last weekends in Australia and unfortunately I'm spending most of it not doing things to save money for my upcoming travels... bummer. Friday I had off so April, Vicki, her kids Jack and Joel, and myself went oppurtunity (op or thift) shopping in Bayswater. We parked at Vicki's Mom's house and did a 5 km walk to Bayswater. It was a nice day so it didn't matter. The kids behave fairly well and got lots of new toys... I myself got a pair of pants for $1!!! and a leather jacket for $10.50! Successful day! We then finished around 4, picked up some sausages for a barbie and went back to Vicki's house. It was a lovely evening and Jack and Joel loved the extra attention however it just makes me realize how I'm sooo not ready for little kiddies... they need soooo much attention! To heck w/ that, I need attention:-) But Jack in particular is my fav... he's about 4 and you can tell he's got that artistic eye. He sees people as colors which I think would be their auoras. I'm pink,,, kinda wanted to be orange but pink is aok, as long as it's hot:-) Was a lovely day and drank a nice cab sav that I had brought back from Tassie. Mmmmm, wine.

Saturday, April and I headed up to St. Andrews Market and did a look through. It was a great market. Tons of fun stuff, soap, baked goods, fresh produce, traveling thrift stores, all sorts of fun stuff. Much like the Farmer's Market. Didn't buy much, just a baklava and a few pieces of fudge. Mmmmm... yummy. We came back home and I did laundry, lots and lots of it and then went on a long bike ride and got lost... It was fun but was glad to have my phone on me so I could call and find out where the heck I was. That night watched Troy w/ Shan. It wasn't that great at all, but does feature Brad Pitt's butt, so aok:-)

Sunday, I thought I might go into the city to check out the St. Kilda Craft Fair. It was swealtering hot, and the train ride into the city was miserable as tons of people were crammed onto it to go to the footy game in the city. As we got into the city you could see this huge front coming in and sure enough it was a perfect example of Melbourne's Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde weather as the wind just started blowing dust all over the streets as it had been so dry, hard enough to sting, and then it just started pouring. Luckily I was under a tram stop. I headed to St. Kilda anyways to find the fair had shut down from the weather. Bummer... sat in a cafe and chilled instead... oh well. Emily stopped over that night to plan out camping outing for this upcoming weekend, exciting! We are going to Wilson's Prom... not sure why, it's practically burning down from a bush fire plus it's supposed to be miserably cold this weekend,,, boo:-( Hope it'll be good anyways, will just have to drink lots of wine and eat lots o smores:-)
