Let's not kid ourselves, one of the favorite things Filipinos love to do, and probably consider it more of a recreation, is shop. Shop, shop, shop. And shop some more. I wouldn't consider myself a big shopper, but I'm also no fool. Things are cheaper here compared to the U.S. It was my mother's idea to visit MOA (Mall of Asia). Now, I've never been to the Mall of America, and it's not really on my list of things to see before I die, so you can understand, I wasn't really up for seeing a megamegamall. But this is my mother's trip also.

MOA, about a 45-minute drive from Fort Bonifacio during traffic, is the world's 3rd largest mall in the world. It's got everything in it--well, almost. No ski/water park like Dubai. But it does have an IMAX theatre, an ice rink, bowling center, a science discovery center, and plenty of kid-friendly areas. We barely saw 1/10 of this place and you must remain focused as to where you (N, S, E, W) parked. One can easily lose your sense of time and space here.

A few of my cousins joined us on this outing and we ate inside a Chinese/Filipino restaurant and afterwards, spent the rest of the afternoon having the kids play in an activity center. That just about wiped my energy out. We did a bit of window shopping and never got the chance to visit the large ferris wheel located just outside MOA, along the waterfront. On our last night in the Philippines we did a quick drive-by, and I noticed that this boardwalk had a small "carnival" feel to it. There are rides for all ages and plenty of food options.

In the evening, we headed to Bonifacio High Street for dinner at Italianni's. A large group of us sat and ate pretty good Italian food in the Philippines. Of course, they still serve some local favorite drinks such as Four Seasons and my all time favorite, Green Mango Shake. I can never get enough of that stuff. Really, I can't. Tomorrow, we tackle Tagaytay. Good night
